At PETER HAHN we source our premium cashmere from the west of Inner Mongolia, the Alashan steppe, on the edge of the Gobi desert. There, purebred white cashmere goats (Carpa hirkus lanigar) live on infinitely large areas. Their undercoat (duvet) grows particularly long, fine and soft thanks to the extreme temperature fluctuations that prevail in this barren stretch of land. The yarn, which is spun from the duvet in 2 strands and twined to a high degree, is used to make this loosely knitted feel-good jumper with a sweatshirt look and raglan sleeves.
