You can rely on this seal. It denotes cashmere that is manufactured according to strict criteria for the
protection of the goats, the environment and people.
The welfare of cashmere goats is important to us
Certified cashmere farms ensure that their goats are not harmed and that they are kept in suitable conditions.
Healthy goats make the best cashmere wool.
Good working conditions for the farmers
Fashion with the “THE GOOD CASHMERE STANDARD®” seal assures compliance with social criteria that benefit the
workers by ensuring fair and safe working conditions on the farms, which is a win for everyone.
Cashmere farms are verified by an independent auditing company. The standard criteria must be met by both the
farmers and the cashmere producers, and exclusion criteria must be observed. If this process is successfully
completed, a certificate is awarded, which is checked annually.
Fashion and home textiles in cashmere are particularly soft and pleasantly lightweight. This is due to the exceptionally fine hair of the cashmere goat from which this wool is obtained. Despite its light weight, cashmere wool is very warming and feels soft and cuddly. Throws and blankets in this precious natural fibre are therefore the ideal companions for cold winter nights and mild summer evenings. Cashmere jumpers and cardigans are beautifully comfortable - just like hats and scarves made from this fine natural fibre. They benefit particularly from the suppleness of this exquisite wool. Luxury cashmere fashion also follows contemporary trends. This means that jumpers, cardigans and scarves are not just comfortable and warm, but also always fashionable and eye-catching. Longer cut jumpers and oversize designs are the latest trend in women's fashion, combined with slender trousers and leggings. Modern men's jumpers have a V neck and are slightly slimmer in cut. These are worn under a sports coat or over a shirt. Classic and therefore always fashionable are jumpers with a cable stitch pattern. Because cashmere wool is so precious, it is often blended with other materials. However, to count as a cashmere product, at least 85 % of the luxury wool must be cashmere. And only fashion in pure cashmere of the highest quality may be labelled 100% cashmere.
