The Italian brand's versatile range includes sporty Geox sandals and trainers as well as classic Geox boots, lace-ups and ballerina pumps. There are even breathable Geox pumps for women, who appreciate a high degree of wear comfort. The functional Geox jackets are extremely hard-wearing thanks to the top-quality microfibre material. The jackets are also available in trendy and classic designs.
Brand philosophy The Italian brand is primarily famous for its breathable shoes for women and men. Perforated soles provide ventilation and enable pleasant wear comfort. The company's innovative power is reflected in all products, regardless of whether they are Geox jackets, Geox sandals or Geox pumps. The Italian brand has registered over 50 patents. Besides the perforated soles, it also holds patents for a breathable, water-resistant membrane, which wicks perspiration away from the body. There is also the NET System® sports sole, which is breathable along the entire length of the foot.
History In the 1990s, a spontaneous idea by Mario Moretti Polegato led to invention of the breathable Geox sandals with perforated soles. Polegato initially presented his innovation to national and international shoe manufacturers with little success, hence he established his own company in 1995. The Geox brand is represented by the Greek symbol for earth ("geo") combined with the letter 'x' for modern technology. Further developments such as breathable Geox boots and jackets followed and contributed to the company's growing international success.
