History
As early as 1955, Max Berk acquired the Europe-wide licence for the previously American brand BETTY BARCLAY and it has been producing its own collections ever since. In 1961 the cocktail dress brand VERA MONT was added, and in 1968 the brand GIL BRET. Since 1972, the company has held the sole rights to the BETTY BARCLAY brand worldwide.
