STRENESSE Blue. Pure design.

  • Brand philosophy

With its STRENESSE Blue line, STRENESSE has created a brand with a clear awareness of style, a label for modern women with exacting standards who know who they are, where they are now and where they are going. The collections, which are characterised by minimalist cuts and practical design, are accordingly unconventional, yet natural: by paring down to essentials, Gabriele Strehle sets completely new fashion standards, in which materials of superb quality always play a major role. Understated or extravagant, STRENESSE Blue designer prints are impossible to ignore. At the same time, the collections are versatile and easy to mix and match, aimed specifically at women with a modern, flexible lifestyle and offering a wealth of different looks with just a few key pieces.

  • History

In 1949 the company Wohlfahrt & Co was founded in Nördlingen by the Strehle family. The STRENESSE label was introduced in 1969. A long-term strategy culminated in the early 1990s in a new range with designer Gabriele Strehle at its centre. The STRENESSE Blue line was born in 1993, with Viktoria Strehle taking over as creative director in 2008. A STRENESSE collection for men was added in 2002. The overwhelming majority of the products are manufactured in Europe, with fabrics sourced mainly from Italy. A workforce of around 200 is employed at the main works at Nördlingen, which is also the training centre for the technicians who guarantee the STRENESSE quality standards at all the production sites.

  • Worth knowing

More than 60 years after the company was founded, STRENESSE remains a quintessential family business which bears the stamp of those who run it: Gabriele and Gerd Strehle and their two children, Luca und Victoria.
