History Otto Kern established the eponymous company in 1971 together with his mother. They began with blouses, followed by shirts, in novel, highly-modern designs. Otto Kern is renowned for its "dachshund ear collars" and the use of washable silk. The brand continues to develop an entirely independent attitude to life and stands for an elegant, sophisticated lifestyle, as reflected in the business and casual collections as well as the sportswear and jeans collections. The logo of the fashion by Otto Kern is distinctive: a lion with a stylised K, both of which are elements taken from the coat of arms of the designer's family.
