BASLER: Women's fashions skilfully manufactured to the highest standards

  • Brand philosophy

Fasions by BASLER are designed for women with exceptional awareness of style and quality. With exclusive materials, sophisticated cuts and clever use of proportions and silhouettes, Basler offers modern collections for modern women and endless options, whatever the occasion. The spectrum ranges from sporty, casual looks to smart separates, including matching coats. In all the collections, comfort and the ability to mix and match are paramount. The self-assured distinction of BASLER fashions mirrors and showcases the personality of the wearer.

  • History

BASLER was founded in Berlin in 1936 as a coat factory under the name "Basler Bekleidungswerke". Run as a family business until 1992, the company then passed into the hands of the Alpha investment consortium; since 2006 the brand has been owned by the financial investor Triton. The corporate head office is in Goldbach, near the Bavarian city of Aschaffenburg. Around 600 people are employed by this expanding company, which exports to more than 60 countries.

  • Worth knowing

In 2011, BASLER intends to mark its 75th anniversary by rejuvenating the brand: dresses will also play a bigger part, giving greater emphasis to the label's glamorous aspects. This new blueprint is being developed with the help of Brian Rennie, a Scottish fashion designer with 20 years' experience in other reputable fashion houses, who was appointed BASLER's Managing Director in March 2011.
